Ive read the others and have to say the halo books still havent lost their appeal, still enjoy reading them non stop late into the night. This one doesnt have John in it but gives a background of the beginning of the battle.
Why did you tarnish my good memories of Halo: Combat Evolved with your politics, Mr. Staten? Why?

Ok, so maybe I expected too much.
How do you like your politics? To the left? To the right? None at all just want a good battle between aliens and humans? Im partial to the latter, personally. So, heres the deal If you like yours to the left, youll find the politics in "contact harvest" amusing and itll reinforce what you already feel about America and her allies. If you like yours to the right, youll find the constant-lifting of historical revisionist thinking from the left-copied and pasted into your favorite video game of all time.....irritating. If you "poo poo" on politics being injected into everything you see and hear on tv, in the movies, or in print media, youll find no reprieve here. To top it off, the storys not that great but that already seems to be covered by the rest of the posts here so, thought Id give you another angle.
Sorry, Avery, its not your fault.
Why did I give it two stars? Because its Halo, and I just couldnt give it one star. I just couldnt.

This excerpt of the Halo series was one that my son requested by name. He enjoyed the book, and it just adds to the popularity of the Halo game series on Xbox 360.

Great audio book! Better than my son was expecting. It held his interest and didnt bore him. A must for any Halo fan!!!
